Remote learning

18th September

Dear parents and families,

As you may or may not be aware, there has been new requirements for return to school provided to us from DET late Tuesday evening. I apologise for the ongoing changes, however we are responding to the ever changing direction determined by DET based on advice by the Chief Health Medical Officer.

Please see the following:

Grevillea Campus:

-          Remote learning will still occur from Monday the 5th of October through to Wednesday the 7th of October

-          All students enrolled at the Grevillea Campus return to onsite learning on Thursday the 8th of October

-          Please return all of your devices, chargers and SIMs to school on Thursday the 8th of October

Yuille Campus:

Young Parents Campus:

Kinder:

Our college is a unique setting and we have many differing forms of return arrangements. Our college is classed as a P-12 school and as such we are not a standalone Primary School. Therefore we do not return to school on the 5th of October at the Grevillea Campus. We are however able to return all students to onsite learning at our Grevillea Campus on Thursday the 8th of October including our secondary aged students in Pod 3.

All secondary school students in Regional Victoria will return to onsite learning on Monday the 12th of October. As a result Yuille and Young Parents Campuses will return to onsite learning on this day.

Our onsite practices of hygiene and social distancing including staggered starts and finishes, and differing recess breaks will remain as previously communicated.

Thank you for your understanding with these arrangements. Should you need to discuss any issues please call the school.

Brett.

7th September, 2020

Hi everyone,

As you are aware the situation with COVID 19 finds us moving back to face to face learning next term which is fantastic news.

It’s been a long haul and a huge thank-you to parents, students and staff for an amazing collective effort in working closely together to make the most of remote learning. We have a few weeks left in the term –almost there. No doubt everyone is looking to finish the term off in a positive way and take a breath and reset over the holiday break.

The government has been providing us with a guide as to what will occur with some key details listed below. The following will be in place for term 4:

We hope this information gives you a general idea on our direction for you moving forward. We will receive a new operational guide from DET (Department Of Education and Training) later this week which will give us more detail in relation to how we go about schooling for term four.

We will communicate any other requirements when we have further details.

Keep strong, stay safe and look out for each other.

YPCC staff.
